The Salty Score: 3/5. A satisfying final game with some noisy excess. This is our spoiler-light, research-based editorial review, informed by published criticism. We have not claimed a first-hand screening.

The setup

Drishyam: The Conclusion has a difficult assignment. The earlier films taught audiences to examine every apparently ordinary detail, so a finale cannot simply produce one last secret and expect applause. Abhishek Pathak brings Vijay Salgaonkar back to a world where protecting family has never been morally tidy. Ajay Devgn's stillness remains the franchise's cleverest special effect: when everybody else raises the temperature, he makes you wonder what he already knows. Jaideep Ahlawat adds a useful new pressure to that familiar game.

What works, and what does not

The critical response suggests a capable thriller rather than an immaculate goodbye. India Today called it engaging but less than the farewell the series deserved; Moneycontrol singled out the tension created by Devgn and Ahlawat while questioning some of the answers. That sounds like a familiar franchise problem. A story can keep adding locks to the door, but if the key arrives with too much explanation, the pleasure of working things out begins to fade. The film also seems too willing to underline moments the audience already understands.

The Salty verdict

Our Salty Score is 3/5. For viewers invested in the Salgaonkars, the accumulated history gives the final confrontation weight, and there is pleasure in watching the characters try to outthink one another again. Expect an effective, occasionally overemphatic conclusion rather than the sort of airtight puzzle that invites an immediate rewatch. This is a worthy visit with a clever franchise, even if it sometimes behaves like the background score is worried you might miss the cleverness.

We weighed the published reviews below and assigned our own score. It is a recommendation based on that coverage, not a report from our own screening. Scores may change after a viewing.
