The Salty Score: 2/5. Fun sparks inside an unfinished fantasy. This is our spoiler-light, research-based editorial review, informed by published criticism. We have not claimed a first-hand screening.

The setup

Titans puts Jayasurya and Vinayakan in a Malayalam fantasy comedy that wants to move between jokes, danger and spectacle. That combination can be irresistible when the rules of its world are clear and the characters make each shift feel natural. The Cinema Express review credits the film with moments of humour and impressive technical work. There is evidently imagination on screen, and the lead pairing gives the concept enough personality to make its better stretches enjoyable. A good trailer, at least, practically cuts itself.

What works, and what does not

The difficulty is what happens between those flashes. Cinema Express calls the screenplay undercooked and suggests the fantasy ideas arrive without enough development to make their eventual payoff feel earned. This is a particularly costly weakness in a story that asks viewers to accept unusual rules. If the movie keeps unveiling a new trick before the previous one matters, wonder can turn into a queue of explanations. Energetic performances may carry individual scenes, but they cannot provide the missing connective tissue for a whole film. Even titans need a plan.

The Salty verdict

Our Salty Score is 2/5. There is enough craft and oddball energy here to interest viewers who enjoy ambitious Malayalam genre experiments, especially those curious about the cast. Go in expecting a patchwork of promising moments, not a fully satisfying fantasy adventure. The published criticism makes a good case that its most frustrating quality is also its most appealing one: you can see the stronger movie trying to break out. The ingredients are lively; the recipe needed another pass before serving.
